Spirit Listen («the App») is a meditation, reflection, and guided-listening experience. This policy explains what information the App handles, how it’s used, and what it never does with it.
1. Information You Create
When you use Meditate & Listen, Spirit Talk, or Daily Message, you may type or dictate a question, and you may write a reflection. This content is stored only on your device, in a local database, so you can revisit it later under My Sessions. Spirit Listen does not upload your questions, reflections, or generated messages to any server, and no one outside your device can read them.
2. Voice Features
Spirit Listen may use your device’s built-in speech recognition (to let you dictate instead of type) and text-to-speech (to read messages aloud). Voice processing happens through your device’s own operating system. Spirit Listen does not record, save, or transmit your voice.
3. Local Preferences
Settings such as sound, meditation duration, and reminder times are stored locally on your device and are never sent anywhere.
4. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Spirit Listen uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand how the App is used and to detect and fix crashes. These tools only ever receive:
- Technical/product events, such as when a meditation session starts or completes, or when a purchase flow starts — with no content attached.
- Whether a feature was used for free or through a purchase (never which question was asked or what a reflection said).
- Crash and error reports, and a small number of technical labels (current screen, app version) attached to them.
Your questions, reflections, and saved messages are never included in analytics or crash data, under any circumstance.
5. Purchases
Spirit Listen offers optional one-time purchases through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play — Spirit Listen never sees or stores your payment details. We only know whether a purchase was completed, to unlock the corresponding feature.
6. Permissions We Request
- Microphone: only to let you dictate a question or reflection via your device’s speech recognizer. Not used for recording or surveillance.
- Notifications: to send the optional daily reminder you can enable in Settings.
- Boot / device restart: to re-schedule that same reminder after your device restarts, if you have it enabled.
- Internet / network state: required for Firebase, Google Play Billing, and the in-app review prompt to function.
7. Third-Party Services
Spirit Listen relies on: Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics), Google Play Billing, Google Play’s in-app review prompt, and your device’s own speech recognition and text-to-speech engines. Each operates under Google’s own privacy policy.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising or ad-tracking identifiers. Content you create in the App is never shared with third parties.
9. Your Data, Your Control
You can delete your saved sessions at any time from Settings. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored content from your device.
10. Children’s Privacy
Spirit Listen is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
